Simvia at the NAFEMS France Conference 2026

As Gold sponsor of the 2026 edition, Simvia gives three talks on data interoperability, constitutive law identification and CFD on fixed meshes.

Overview

The biennial meeting point of the French engineering simulation community, the NAFEMS France Conference takes place on November 17 and 18, 2026 at the CETIM Conference Centre in Senlis. Under this year's theme, "Simulation Solutions for Tomorrow's Challenges", it brings together industry players, researchers, software vendors and service providers across every discipline of engineering simulation: AI applied to simulation, digital twins, multi-scale simulation, HPC, SPDM, biomedical and more.

Simvia is a Gold sponsor of this edition. Our engineers will give three talks, two of them with partners Phimeca and MATandSIM. Talks will be given in French.

Why attend

  • A complete overview of simulation: previous editions brought together around 80 presentations and 300 attendees, combining industrial case studies and academic work selected by the Programme Committee.
  • Topics at the heart of today's challenges: AI, digital twins, model credibility, interoperability, computing infrastructure and the convergence of research and industry.
  • An independent meeting place: parallel sessions, plenaries, an exhibition area, the conference dinner and CETIM lab tours all encourage networking.
  • Meet the Simvia team: talk with our engineers about your simulation challenges and the open-source tools we develop around code_aster, code_saturne and their ecosystem.

What you will learn

November 17, afternoon – Data interoperability and digital continuity across simulation chains With Phimeca – "Numerical methodology, credibility, interoperability, SPDM" session

  • How to move data reliably between the different tools of a simulation chain
  • A topic closely tied to our work on Meshlane

November 18, morning – Multi-source inverse identification for objective selection of constitutive laws With MATandSIM – "Test-simulation correlation, virtual testing" session

  • Combining digital image correlation (DIC) field measurements with finite element simulated mechanical tests
  • Selecting a constitutive law on objective criteria, an approach close to what ConstituFit does

November 18, morning – Modeling a moving obstacle in a ventilated flow on a fixed mesh with volume penalization "CFD, thermal, energy" session

  • Modeling a moving object in a flow without remeshing
  • What volume penalization brings to this type of configuration
