Web & Internal Tools Developer Apprentice — Apprenticeship Contract
Context
Simvia, a subsidiary of the EDF group, is a key player in the promotion and support of open-source numerical simulation solutions. Our teams rely daily on modern tools and robust infrastructures to support our clients with their complex industrial challenges.
To sustain our growth and strengthen our ability to deliver reliable products, we are looking for a motivated apprentice to join our technical team. You will work on a varied scope, combining web development, automation, and internal IT support, within a stimulating and supportive environment.

Job description
As a web and internal tools developer apprentice, you will actively contribute to Simvia's technical life. Your responsibilities will revolve around four main areas:
Web development Contribute to the development and evolution of our web interfaces using our front-end technologies (React, Next.js, Svelte). You will help ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and participate in code reviews.
IT support Handle internal IT tickets, install and configure workstations for new employees, and contribute to maintaining a healthy working environment.
Automation & productivity Implement and improve automation workflows using n8n to optimize internal processes and reduce repetitive tasks for the team.
Example project:
You will notably work on open-simulation-center.org, the platform that provides access to all our open-source products. This includes improving the user experience, making more software versions available, and developing tools and practices that foster the growth and retention of the open-source community.
Candidate profile
Final-year engineering school student specializing in computer science, within the framework of an apprenticeship contract.
Technical skills required:
- Strong command of TypeScript and at least one front-end framework (React/Next.js)
- Basic back-end development knowledge (Go or Python appreciated)
- Comfortable with Linux and Docker environments
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or another relational database
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Knowledge of n8n or similar automation tools is a plus

- Proactive: you enjoy going beyond your initial objectives
- Curious: you like to understand how things work
- Autonomous: you can manage your priorities and make progress without constant guidance
