Context
Simvia, a subsidiary of the EDF group, is a key player in promoting and supporting open-source numerical simulation solutions. Our teams rely daily on modern tools and robust infrastructure to help clients tackle complex industrial challenges.
To support our growth and strengthen our ability to ship reliable products, we're looking for a motivated intern to join our technical team. You'll work across a varied scope spanning web development, automation and internal IT support, in a stimulating and supportive environment.

The role
As a web development and internal tools intern, you'll take an active part in Simvia's technical life. Your work will be structured around three main areas:
Web development
Contributing to the development and evolution of our web interfaces using our front-end stack (React, Next.js, Svelte). You'll help maintain code quality, follow best practices and take part in code reviews.
IT support
Handling internal IT tickets, setting up and configuring workstations for new joiners, and helping keep our working environment healthy.
Automation & productivity
Building and improving automation workflows with n8n, to streamline internal processes and cut down on the team's repetitive tasks.
Main internship project
You'll work on open-simulation-center.org, the platform that hosts all our open-source products. The goal over the course of the internship: improve the user experience, broaden the catalogue of available software versions, and put in place the tools and practices that help the open-source community grow and stay engaged.
The exact scope will be defined with you at the start of the internship, depending on the agreed duration (4 or 6 months) and your own interests.
Who we're looking for
Final-year engineering student with a computer science focus, looking for an end-of-studies internship.
Technical skills:
- Solid command of TypeScript and at least one front-end framework (React/Next.js)
- Some back-end development experience (Go or Python appreciated)
- Comfortable with Linux environments and Docker
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or another relational database
- Good command of Git and collaborative development workflows
- Knowledge of n8n or similar automation tools is a plus

- Independent: you can manage your own priorities and make progress without constant guidance
