Context
Because every investment counts when it comes to advancing science, we have supported a leading academic player in the field of digital twins to reduce its reliance on commercial computing tools.
The aim was therefore to ensure a smooth transition to code_aster for rapid implementation in an upcoming innovative project involving damage models to be managed using the phase-field approach.
Simvia’s approach
- Advanced training for researchers in structural mechanics:
- a training programme tailored to future innovation and the practical needs of the research team
- training materials covering a wide range of development concepts associated with code_aster.
Results
- 6 researchers trained remotely over 2 days, including half a day of bespoke training based on a recent research article to ensure the training was as closely tailored to their needs as possible
- A recording of the sessions = a long-term resource enabling trainees to study at their own pace and delivering a better return on investment for the laboratory
- 2 days that save countless hours of trial and error and uncertainty!
